Gentlemen,

I apologize for the late week post. I am out of town on business and couldn’t squeeze this in till now. Week 2 was a great success; the refs came back from Vacation and the standings are starting to take shape.

Game results for the week saw the Bruins and Red Wings take the first and second spot in the standings. The Bruins beat the Canadiens by a score of 4-1. While the Red Wings beat the Maple Leafs 8-4. In the late game the Rangers held off the Blackhawks by a score of 8-6.

The schedule for week 3 is as follows:
5:15PM – Maple Leafs (H) vs Canadiens
5:45PM – Blackhawks (H) vs Red Wings
6:45PM – Bruins (H) vs Rangers

Week One was a GREAT success (kind of)! All teams were eager to start playing after a long summer off, unfortunately the Refs needed an extra week in Cabo. But don’t worry they’ll be back next week.

As far as the action is concerned, in the early game we saw the Bruins beat the Blackhawks by a score of 7-3. The middle game was a tight race right to the opening of the zambonie doors, but the Maple Leafs came out on top 7-6 in the end over the Rangers. The late game played host to the Canadiens and Red Wings. The Wings took the game by a score of 15-7.

Maple Leafs vs Red Wings (H) – 5:15PM
Bruins vs Canadiens (H) – 5:45PM
Blackhawks vs Rangers (H) – 6:45PM

Lastly a cautionary reminder, viewers of the late game action were reminded by 8-Rinks staff about their new zero-tolerance alcohol rule. They do not permit any beer outside the dressing rooms. So please finish your beverages before leaving the room.
